Here are a few examples of some creative fruit solutions we’ve created
Desugared Lemon Juice Match
Finished Product: Canned Gin Cocktail
Customer Request: Match an ingredient (desugared lemon juice) that they were using, and make our product clarified to reduce the pulp in their product. The ingredient they were using had very bitter, pithy, and peely notes.
Result: The flavors in their ingredient were very different than our lemon juices are as we do not remove the sugar. Through the slight modification of our product (flavor and acid), we were able to get a very close match that the customer approved on the first sample. The customer is currently buying this, and we just did the first production on it earlier this month. This product will be used as an ingredient that provides flavor and acidity to their entire line of canned cocktails.
Jungleberry Blend
Finished Product: THC/CBD Soda
Customer Request: Create a product that uses juices and flavors to create a concentrate that stays under a specific sugar amount while still being sweet, and the taste gives a perception of a healthy food. For this blend specifically, they wanted blackberry and goji berry flavors to be forward with other flavors supporting (e.g., pomegranate & blueberry).
Result: The customer approved the first sample we sent them, which was successful in meeting these flavor descriptions and staying under the customer’s ceiling for sugar content. It will be used as the main flavoring agent, if not the only one, in their product. This is not in production yet, but it is in the commercialization process.
Waterlemon Blend
Finished Product: THC/CBD Soda
Customer Request: Create a product that uses juices and flavors to create a concentrate that stays under a specific sugar amount while still being sweet, and the taste gives a perception of a healthy food. For this blend specifically, they wanted watermelon and lemon flavors to be forward without tasting artificial. For watermelon, this is a challenge, as our clarified watermelon concentrate does not taste the way that most consumers would like watermelon to taste. For this, a flavor had to be used.
Result: The customer approved the first sample we sent them, which was successful in meeting these flavor descriptions and staying under the customer’s ceiling for sugar content. It will be used as the main flavoring agent, if not the only one, in their product. This is not in production yet, but it is in the commercialization process.
Pomegranate - Asian Pear Type
Finished Product: Canned Cider
Customer Request: Blend a customer-specified amount of pomegranate juice concentrate into the customer’s existing blend of a pear blend (Asian pear type). The customer had done R&D on their end to nail down the amounts of two different products that they use in production, and had us create the blend of juices on our end to save them time in production.
Result: The customer approved the first sample sent to them as it matched the results they had been getting on their end. This is not in production yet, but will be once their current contract is up and they make a new one.
